Hey, I’m famous!

I’ve been a long-time listener of “LightSource”, a great photography podcast put on by the guys over at studiolighting.net. Bill and Ed evidently found me on Twitter and contacted me a couple months ago to see if I’d be interested in being on the show. I was pretty surprised as they’ve had some wonderful and brilliant commercial photographers on and I’m just this portrait guy from Topeka, Kansas but there was no way I was going to turn the opportunity down! We did the interview in November and it was released today!

The guys were really easy to talk to and we just kind of let the conversation wander, hitting a few specific points like the senior road trips I do.

Now that the interview is out I’ve had some contact with other listeners on Facebook and Twitter, so if anyone has any additional questions for me just shoot me a message or give me a call.

And don’t forget to subscribe to LightSource on iTunes and follow them on Twitter, it’s well worth going back and listening to the previous episodes! There is a ton of other great information on their web site as well, including video tutorials, tips, etc., well worth checking out!

Back in a week!

Hey everyone, I’ll be participating in a photography think-tank down in Cancun for the next week with limited time and access to phones and e-mail. The studio will be closed during this time but I will return all phone and e-mail messages when I return on the 30th.

Thanks!

Brent

Where’d the palm trees go?

Ok, so I’m back from my two week journey to the south, what happened to the warm weather? Um, hello….springtime…?

The studio is open and accepting appointments again although the schedule is pretty full for the next couple of weeks. Spring and summer are the best times to photograph seniors and families and it’s not too early to make your appointment! I can accept only a limited number of appointments so get yours booked soon!

KPPA Winter Seminar

This past weekend I attended the Kansas Professional Photographers Association Winter Seminar in Manhattan, Kansas. These events are always a great chance to meet with other photographers from all over the state and discuss the industry, as well as attend some great informational and educational seminars. Joing organizations like these and continuing education in both business and photography are what separates your professional photographers from the GWCs (guys with cameras) out there.

I had a great time, even though the hotel had a few issues.
